• A long exposure image of the night sky over Waterfowl Lakes on the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park. It was extremely dark and many more stars than we can normally see were visible in the sky.
• I went out for a drive on the prairies east of Calgary to try to photograph the Aurora Borealis following a major solar flare. Unfortunately the cloud cover prevented any Northern Lights sightings b ut we did take the opportunity to shoot the landscape and the night sky.
• Images from a trip to Red Rock Coulee in Southwestern Alberta.

The area is home to hundreds of "spherical concretions", which are huge red rocks that have eroded much more slowly than the surrounding soil. They are similar to hoodoos, which are more commonly found in the badlands of central Alberta.

Red Rock Coulee is one of those extremely interesting places that is unlike anywhere else that you'll ever visit.
• March 17, 2015 - The aurora was very strong but Calgary was almost completely socked in with cloud so we had to head much farther north than normal in order to find it. This image was taken from a side road a few kilometers east of Highway 2 near Olds, AB. The Northern Lights were very strong when we first arrived at this location but steadily faded after that.
