  • Anything you've heard about seeing bison (aka Buffalo) all over the place in Yellowstone National Park is absolutely true. They are extremely abundant and very easy to find...We found this behemoth in the middle of our path while we were hiking along the Clear Lake Trail. We watched and waited until he moved along before we continued down the trail.....©2009, Sean Phillips.http://www.Sean-Phillips.com

  • We pulled into the Sheepeater Cliff picnic area mainly because of the strange name. The area is named after a the Western Shoshone band who were known as Tukuaduka (sheep eaters). The area is known for the interesting columnar rock formations in the cliffs along the river, and also for the jumbled boulders that have fallen from the cliffs that make for a fun place to play!..©2009, Sean Phillips.http://www.Sean-Phillips.com

  • We went for a hike along the Clear Lake Trail in the Canyon area of Yellowstone. Louise spotted this curious little critter in the woods and so I stopped to watch it for awhile. It was easy to see while it was interested in watching me, but eventually it decided to leave and it easily disappeared into the woods...©2009, Sean Phillips.http://www.Sean-Phillips.com

It took us over 20 minutes to get through the area as the tourists all stopped to take pictures as this beautiful bear enjoyed a snack on the side of the road...©2009, Sean Phillips.http://www.Sean-Phillips.com
